Cycling in Alsace
Mountain biking
A number of trails reserved for mountain biking and suitable for cyclists of all abilities have been created throughout the Vosges. The terrain here is particularly well-suited to mountain biking. With changes in altitude of between 100 and 1 400 metres, you'll find a huge variety of rides here. The Vosges are perfect for outings, whether for just an afternoon or a week. Finding addresses of bicycle hire companies is easy in Alsace, whether you're looking for mountain bikes, city bikes or even tandems. If you decide to visit Alsace by bicycle and are looking to undertake the longer stretches of your journey using public transport, don't forget to try the regional trains and trams which accept bicycles free of charge.
