For around 27km between Biaufond Bridge and Clairbief, the River Doubs snakes its way along the floor of a wild valley which belongs both to France and to Switzerland. This beautifully preserved area prime fishing territory.
A Passion for Fishing in the Dessoubre Valley
The Dessoubre, a confluent which flows into the Doubs at Saint Hippolyte, is worth the trip just for its beauty. This fabulous 38km long river, ideal for dry fishing, offers a number of different sites.
The downstream section, from the Moulin du Milieu to St Hippolyte, features a succession of magnificent fishing stations, including Moricemaison, Fleurey and many others besides.
You can spend a day fishing at one of the two no-kill stretches, rich in fat trout and particularly suited to the art of fly fishing.
