Good weather year-round and sites to take your breath away offer a thousand good reasons to get away from it all and discover remote picturesque places in the heart of Provence, or follow itineraries with their unbeatable sea views.
Opting for the Alps or the mountain valleys offers spectacular routes that are very popular with bikers. There are numerous visually impressive circuits around Mont Ventoux, a 92 km giant of Provence, which entered the realms of mythology as its 7 sharp bends have fascinated people since the Middle Ages and the writings of Petrarch. Its southerly aspect contains Mediterranean vegetation, while the northerly aspect is more Alpine, indeed, Arctic, with the presence of the Arctic poppy. The circuit is viable from May to October.
