In November 2005, Burgundy made an innovative move by launching 'Saines Saveurs, Naturally good in Burgundy'. This new label is a commitment from Burgundy's catering professionals to provide healthy natural foods wherever possible.
The move has come in response to the increasing number of tourists who are basing their food choices on considerations of health while on holiday. Tourism based on wine, gastronomy is developing rapidly and finding new converts every day.

This innovative scheme seems perfectly at home in a region that is defined by the quality and authenticity of its produce. The quality label has been developed in consultation with health professionals and seeks to maintain the traditional recipies of the region while making them more appealing to a health concious public.
So now you really can have your cake and eat it in Burgundy.
