Don't Mind
Seine-et-Marne in Ile-de-France

The Seine-et-Marne is the greenest department of the Ile-de-France region, ideally situated close to the international airports of Roissy and Orly and served by the A4, A5 and A6 motorways.

Set off in search of adventure at Disneyland Resort Paris and its two amusement parks!

Relive momentous chapters of France’s colourful history:

Visit the medieval town of Provins, part of UNESCO World Heritage, and travel back in time to the world of knights in armour, guilds and merchants.

Travel to Blandy-les-Tours, the last fortified castle in the Ile-de-France, or explore the Episcopal town of Meaux, a treasure of art and Gothic architecture.

Discover the Château de Fontainebleau, for 800 years a residence of French sovereigns, and thrill to the opulence of the 17th century Château de Vaux-le-Vicomte, the inspiration for Versailles.

The department is also famous for its villages of artists: Barbizon and the Auberge Ganne, home to countless landscape painters such as Corot, Millet and Rousseau; the medieval town of Moret-sur-Loing, forever associated with the Impressionist Alfred Sisley.

There are 135,000 hectares of forest and 2,000 km of waterways for nature lovers and outdoor enthusiasts to enjoy: hiking and horse trekking, rock-climbing, mountain biking and canoeing, little tourist barges for hire, not to mention a host of leisure centres, golf courses, etc.

Enjoy fabulous historical pageants at Meaux and Moret-sur-Loing and take your pick from numerous jazz and classical music festivals devoted to the likes of Django Reinhardt, François Couperin, etc.
