What about the non-skiers?
Savoie Mont Blanc resorts do not skimp on the quantity and variety of the activities they offer. For younger kids, original activities are on offer, such as a giant sledging runs in Val Thorens that set off from one of the mountain tops in the ski area. For those who like to admire the view, cable cars take you up to the mountains where you can enjoy a nice cup of tea facing the stunning landscape. But you can also treat yourself to an unforgettable snowshoeing trip by night! For those who are more adventurous, why not trying paragliding, or ice diving in Tignes. For sweet pleasures, try one of the numerous spas that can be found in all the resorts: a wonderful combination of snow and relaxation.
Winter sports and disabilities
Savoie Mont Blanc wants everyone to enjoy winter sports.
Thirty-two of Savoie and Haute-Savoie's ski resorts provide facilities for disabled skiers, enabling as many people as possible to enjoy winter sports.
These 32 resorts were selected according to four criteria:
- The ability of their ski schools to provide suitable teaching (qualified ski instructors) and equipment.
- The presence of an advisor to provide information about all the services available in the resort.
- The quality of the special services on offer. Only establishments that have been inspected and approved are recommended: accommodation, restaurants and other services.
- The ski lifts must be accessible to people with reduced mobility.
