Limousin
Limousin: A Small Nature Paradise
Limousin is made up of three départements (counties): Creuse, Corrèze, Haute-Vienne
For nature lovers, Limousin offers a wealth of amazing sites. Must-see locations include the Plate of Millevaches, Lake Vassivière, the Dordogne, Vézère and Vienna valleys and the valley of Hollow, which was adored by Impressionists in 19th Century.
Limousin’s countryside has a charming, fairy-tale character, with thick forests, sunny clearings and clear, undulating rivers. This countryside also offers the chance to stumble upon medieval villages and romantic, granite churches built by the mason farmers.
