Midi Pyrenees

Midi-Pyrénées

Midi-Pyrénées is made up of eight départements (counties): Lot, Aveyron, Tarn-et-Garonne, Tarn, Gers, Haute-Garonne, Hautes-Pyrénées, Ariège.

From the plateau of Aubrac to the Pyrénéan peaks, to the sloping hillsides of Gascony, the wide range of landscapes in the Midi-Pyrénées are the setting for many leisure activities.

There's the pleasure of hiking in the Pyrénées or along the routes of St Iago of Compostella, canoeing on the river Lot, Tarn or Aveyron, paragliding in Millau for those in search of natural thrills, and downhill skiing or snowshoe hiking on the plateaus of Aubrac.

The Midi-Pyrénées honours sport and everyone's pace, whether young or old, is taken into consideration thanks to specially adapted centres.
