Parisians come out in force to participate in this cheerful annual procession, which runs from the Rue le Vau to the Hôtel de Ville. The event, also known as the Promenade du Boeuf Gras - the fat Cow Parade - revives a thirteenth-century tradition and is led to the strains of local misicians by the fat cow herself.
