To phone France from abroad, dial 0033 + the 9-figure number you wish to call (omitting the 0 that comes in front of French telephone numbers)

Within France, dial the 10-figure number which always starts with 0

From France to another country, dial 00 + the country code + the number you wish to call

You can purchase all types of phone cards (for phones boxes, mobile phone recharges, prepaid cards, in post offices, tobacconists, souvenir shops, etc.

France has very good coverage. Ask your own mobile phone network operator about which French network to choose in order to be able to use your phone in France.

Post boxes
In France, you will find post boxes, which are yellow, in the street and outside each post office. Collection times are indicated on the post boxes.

Stamps
Postage charges vary according to the weight of your mail and its destination. You can buy stamps at post offices and in tobacconists.

The cybercafés are not hard to locate in towns, you can always ask at the Tourist Office or at your accommodation. You also have WIFI zones in major cities.
